Here is the second draft revision of the Taku Engineering, LLC tri-fold brochure I've been working on lately. I think it's looking pretty good, quite an improvement from the initial layout.

The sign project is on hold until a new office location is determined for the folks over at Taku Engineering, LLC. Meanwhile, they have asked me to update their tri-fold brochure.

Here is an initial layout comp using the existing logo and some photos and information gathered from their website, which is being reworked by OTC Web Design.

Wild Alaska Smoked Salmon

This is my first attempt at smoking my own salmon. Beautiful Kenai River Red Salmon I caught with my good friend Tim Blum earlier this summer, all brined up and ready for the smoker. Many thanks to my neighbor Tim Denuptiis for the brine recipe, kind instruction, and use of the big chief.

Taku Engineering, llc.

I'm working on designing a sign for Taku Engineering, llc. The final sign will be 7' wide X 4' high and mounted on a larger structure. Also, it will be internally illuminated, which poses some challenges regarding municipal sign ordinances.

*This is a work in progress so we'll see where it ends up.

Lorna's Therapeutic Touch

It's a real pleasure to help Lorna out with her marketing…literally. Getting bodywork from her is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I feel great!

Sound Contracting, LLC.

Here is a logo I am working on for Sound Contracting, LLC. This small locally-owned business has been around for a while under a different name but is now in need of a new look with strong company branding.

I think the plumb bob is a great symbol of "soundness" when it comes to building and construction. Once we finalize the logo design we'll move forward with a website and various business collaterals.

Dahlias at Forget-Me-Not Nursery

We celebrated this year's Autumnal Equinox at Forget-Me-Not Nursery. There was great food, and good times, complete with a guided walkthrough of the dahlias in the greenhouse.

They are spectacular flowers.

North Face Trail

I hiked the North Face Trail at Alyeska for the first time ever. The 2.2-mile trek to the tram terminal is terrific! It was a gorgeous day to boot.
